Forge & Flight Holdings is proud to support The Project Initiative Foundation’s STEM Warriors Academy Drone Camp — a free, five-day hands-on UAS program for youth ages 6 through 13 in the Fayetteville community.
When: May 26–30, 2026 · Morning and afternoon sessions available daily
Where: 421 Maiden Lane, Fayetteville, NC 28301
Cost: Free
Registration and session details: project-initiative.org/events
What the Program Delivers
Over five days, participants progress from flight simulator fundamentals through live FPV drone operation, earning their FAA TRUST Recreational UAS Safety Test certificate along the way. The program also incorporates the RYAT (Raising Youth Against Trafficking) digital safety curriculum — equipping students with both aviation skills and critical online awareness.
Each day builds on the last. Day one establishes simulator proficiency and basic aerodynamic concepts. By day five, participants apply everything they have learned in a capstone flight challenge. Both morning and afternoon sessions are available to accommodate family schedules — registration through the link above shows current availability for each.
Why This Matters
Forge & Flight is headquartered in Fayetteville, adjacent to Fort Bragg and the largest Special Operations community in the world. We build the aircraft, train the operators, and develop the software that supports DoD and federal customers — and we believe the pipeline for that workforce starts here, in this community, with programs like STEM Warriors.
The students who complete this camp will have their first hands-on experience with UAS technology, a federally recognized recreational safety certificate, and an introduction to the aviation and engineering fields that are growing faster than almost any other sector in defense and commercial markets.
Support the Program
The Project Initiative Foundation makes programs like STEM Warriors possible through community sponsorship. If your organization is interested in supporting UAS education and youth development in the Fayetteville area, sponsorship information is available at the same link: project-initiative.org/events.
Space in each session is limited. Registration is open now.
